My wife and I have been coming here for years. Besides the food being absolutely so fresh and delicious the service is terrific. This review is more about a recent experience however. After arriving home from another great dinner last night, I realized I didn't have my wallet. I asked my wife if she had it and she said nope! After scouring the car to see if maybe I dropped it between the seats I decided to call the restaurant. As soon as I said I was just there with my wife and a friend the young lady immediately said "and you left your wallet here "! I said yes and thank you and even though there was cash and some credit cards in it I said if you don't mind I'll come back tomorrow. She said no problem they will keep it safe for me. A short time later I heard my cell phone ring. Since I was upstairs and my phone was downstairs my wife answered the call. I heard her saying "thank you" several times. After the call I asked what that was all about and she said it was a call from Mathew.... the owner/chef of the restaurant. He just wanted to let us know that he personally was putting the wallet in his safe and he would be in the next day at 11 AM. That to me is the ultimate definition of customer service! As I said, we have been coming here for many years but never met him personally as he is the chef and is always very busy. However we have met his wife and co owner, Julie, on several occasions. She is also the consummate hostess! So to the food. THE BEST!! Too many great dishes we have had to mention. The Zuppa de Pesce is a standout! I love it in the white sauce and my wife in the red. Either way OMG! 10 Stars NOT 5!!!
I like this place. But... my first time trying the take out with a Steak panini. Sadly, it was hard to bite with a bit too much gristle ... a bit tough. Italian upscale menu but pizzeria, but you have to find what to order and what not to. The steak was flavorless. I had to add salt pepper and garlic. The sauce for the spaghetti always a hit. I did a take out delivery order through a service and it was fast! The eggplant is usually my go to. Try it! The spaghetti is not like an entree where you get bread or salad to accompany it. The eggplant doesn't automatically come with pasta. Remember to order some on the side.

East Bay Italian Grill is a GREAT Italian restaurant. Every selection my family has ordered here was top notch. The service has always been tremendous. The ambiance is fantastic. Just try the Scarpariello Wings (thank You Jill). The Pizza is GREAT. The meatballs 1st rate. Even the Famous Sliced Filet Mignon is outstanding. I know you cant please everybody. But for anyone who has had a bad experience and written about it here talk to the owner first before destroying them on Yelp. Matt is a GREAT guy, who truly and sincerely wants you to be happy. He has spent his life making people happy and satisfied. Please give them another try. For me, its very important to have a go-to Italian, Asian and a Bakery. East Bay is my absolute Go-To for Italian food.
Very enjoyable food and atmosphere here. Pizzas are delicious. The cheese is so flavorful here! Nice dining area with a good Italian menu also. Service was fast and food arrived hot. Looking forward to trying more items on their menu soon!
